Embassy of Canada in Mongolia
The Canadian Embassy in Mongolia does not have passport services. If you lose your passport then they might be able to arrange a temporary travel document. If you are getting married and need assistance with the process they can assist. Also if you need a public notary you should be able to get assistance from them as well. Mongolia and marriage registration is a bit different than Canada. You will first need to prove that you are single. To do this your will need a letter of no impediment from the Canadian Embassy for this. You will need to apply for this letter and they will tell you when to collect it. Once you have this letter you will need to have it translated and certified before you can use it. You will then hand the original and translated versions to the Mongolia authorities to register your marriage. If you are going back to Canada, its best to have this translated and certified for use later in Canada for the spouse visa.
Consular Assistance
If you gave birth you will need to register your child as a Canadian born abroad. You will need to make an appointment at the Canadian Embassy in Mongolia for this. Bring all your birth registration documents. Have these translated and certified. You will need your Canadian passport as well as the child and all the documents original and translated at the Embassy on that day. The registration will take place and it does take a while. Once that is done you will need to ensure that the child gets a travel document or passport to return or move to Canada.
